Three day Aboriginal Cultural Camp at Garawarra Farm Royal National Park

On Monday the 3rd of December 10 boys from Year 7-9 were chosen to attend a 3-day Aboriginal cultural camp facilitated by Dean Kelly. Based at Garawarra Farm, in the Royal National Park, south of Sydney, students and staff slept in swags under the stars.

To qualify for the camp students were required to have excellent attendance, good behaviour and 100% assessment completion for the entire year.

The camp was funded by the NSW Health HARP Unit facilitated by Kevin Heith: Senior Male Aboriginal Health Promotion Officer and mentor with Champagnat’s Y.A.B.(Young Aboriginal Brothers) program.
