Social Justice

Students respond to the call of St. Marcellin Champagnat by being a presence in the lives of others and thus being active witnesses to the faith.   There are a number of social justice and solidarity programs within the College, with the underlying principle of putting faith into action.

House Charities: To further commit to supporting others in the community each House dedicates time to teach, advocate and be charitable to Catholic ministries. Catholic community organisations that are supported include Caritas Australia, Catholic Care, Catholic Mission, Matthew Talbot Hostel and Marist Solidarity programs.

"For the Church, charity is not a kind of welfare activity which could equally well be left to others, but is a part of her nature, an indispensable expression of her very being."

Pope Benedict XVI. Deus Caritas Est, n25
